ECU 1, Charlotte 0

Despite being outshot 17-7, ECU topped Charlotte 1-0. ECU improves to 3-3-1 on the season while Charlotte drops to 5-2-0. The win was the 50th of Hamilton's head coaching career.

Most of the offense in the first half was produced by Charlotte. The 49ers took 12 shots in the period while ECU only had four shots. However, it was the Pirates that got the only goal of the half, scoring in the 16th minute. Tori Riggs pounced on a loose ball in the offensive end and found Daria Draovitch on the right wing. Draovitch whipped a cross into the box and Cashlin Copley rose up between a pair of defenders and scored on a headed effort. It was the second goal of the season for Copley.

SMU 1, Long Beach State 0

A late goal from senior Allie Thornton in the 85th minute gave SMU a 1-0 win over Long Beach State. Both teams were receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll last week.

Both teams were held scoreless throughout the first half of the match, with each team holding approximately half of the possession time. The Mustangs (6-1-0) had twice as many shots as the Beach (2-5-0) with 10 to their five.

USF 3, Wake Forest 2

USF answered everything that Wake Forest threw at them to walk away with a 3-2 victory on Sunday. The Bulls never relented in the second half, answering both of the Demon Deacons' goals to come home with the one-goal win.

Katie Kitching found the back of the net for the only goal in the first half, while reigning National Player of the Week Evelyne Viens scored a brace in the second half to give the Bulls (5-1-0) their fourth consecutive win.

UCF 5, Stetson 0

UCF improved to 3-1-2 on the season with a 5-0 win over Stetson. The Knights got on the board early on with a penalty kick by Zandy Soree and it was followed up almost immediately by a Kristen Scott goal off an assist from Olivia Lewis.

The Knights scored three times in the second half, including Soree scoring again in the 56th minute. Talia Gabarra scored in the 81st minute off a feed from Sydney Brown and then fed Mallory Olsson in the 85th minute to close the scoring.

Nolin Parker scored in the 25th minute to give Houston a 1-0 lead with Desiree Bowen being credited with the assist. The Cougars poured on the pressure and led in shots, 29-11, but SFA was able to tie the game in the 78th minute and send the contest to overtime.

Memphis 2, Central Arkansas 0

Memphis picked up its fifth-consecutive shutout win with a 2-0 triumph over Central Arkansas. Elizabeth Moberg earned her fourth shutout of the season and made two saves.

Stasia Mallin opened the scoring for the Tigers in the seventh minute, while Mya Jones fed Tanya Boychuk in the 51st minute to ease the tension. Memphis led in shots, 27-7.

The Owls strung together strong scoring opportunities in the beginning of the first half. In the 11th minute, sophomore Gabriela Johnson sent two shots on goal, forcing Rider's Carmen Carbonell to step up and make the saves. In the 14th minute, Gutowski ripped a shot from the 18, but Carbonell was there to make the save.

Cincinnati 0, Xavier, 0 (2OT)

Cincinnati drew Xavier, 0-0, in the Queen City Derby before a big crowd at Nippert Stadium. Madison Less made three saves in a shutout for the Bearcats.

Xavier led in shots, 11-9, while Cincinnati had one more corner kick, 6-5.

Harvard 3, UConn 1

UConn lost its first home game of 2019 by a score of 3-1 to Harvard at Dillon Stadium. The Huskies (3-3-1) jumped out of the gate with a pair of opportunities from junior Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky including a header attempt inside the six that the Harvard keeper was able to handle.

Harvard contributed the majority of the opportunities (11-5 shots) in the first half and converted at 29:31 to take a 1-0 advantage. The Crimson extended the lead in the second half with a tally in the 55th minute.
