No. 3/2 UCLA 15, USF 2 (6) (St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational, Clearwater, Florida)
 
USF earned its second straight shutout victory against a national top-20 foe, blanking No. 15 Georgia on Sunday morning at the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational. The Bulls could not keep up the momentum to close the tournament against No. 3/2 UCLA, falling 15-2 in six innings.
 
Georgina Corrick helped her own cause by smashing a two-run home run to left field in the top of the season, plating Bethaney Keen with the blast to provide the winning tally for USF against Georgia.
 
Corrick was masterful in the circle, scattering three hits and one hit batsman in 114 pitches to go along with nine strikeouts. In Corrick’s fourth appearance against a ranked opponent this season, she earned her first victory.
 
UConn 3, Purdue 1 (8) (The Spring Games, Clermont, Florida)
 
UConn earned its seventh straight win overall and capped an impressive 5-0 showing at The Spring Games on Sunday with a 3-1 win over Big Ten foe Purdue. The Huskies outscored the competition 32-8 during the tournament.
 
With the score deadlocked at 1-1 in the top of the eighth inning, Aziah James ripped a go-ahead RBI single through the right side to score Carli Cutler and give UConn a 2-1 lead. Ashlee Dahman followed with a single to bring James home for the winning 3-1 score.
 
Reese Guevarra drilled a solo home run in the first inning for the Huskies, and Marybeth Olson and Briana Marcelino added hits to the offensive cause. James also chipped in a stolen base.
 
Olson threw all eight innings in the circle, scattering five hits and one walk to go along with eight strikeouts in the win.
 
No. RV UCF 10, FAU 0 (5) (Knights Classic, Orlando, Florida)
 
No. RV UCF completed an undefeated slate at its own Knights Classic at the UCF Softball Stadium by shutting out FAU 10-0 in five innings on Sunday. The Knights blasted the Owls for seven runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning to help end the game early.
 
Georgia Blair hit her third solo home run of the week for UCF, and Shannon Doherty, Denali Schappacher, Kyra Klarkowski and Molly Rainey (first career home run) all drove in two RBI in the win. Blair and Juliana Wilson each scored a pair of runs.
 
Alea White allowed two hits in five full innings of work, walking one and striking out seven to earn the win.
 
No. RV Tulsa 3, North Alabama 2 (Bulldog Kickoff Classic, Starkville, Mississippi)
 
No. RV Tulsa claimed the consolation game of the Bulldog Kickoff Classic with a 3-2 decision against North Alabama at Mississippi State on Sunday. The Golden Hurricane moved to 8-1 on the young season with the victory.
 
Mikayla Whitten brought home two runs on a third-inning double to provide the winning margin for Tulsa, and Chenise Delce added an RBI in the victory. Tajiah Ellison turned in a 2-for-4 outing with a run scored for the Golden Hurricane.
 
Kassidy Scott threw 4.1 innings of three-hit softball as the game’s starter to claim the win. Delce worked a perfect seventh inning with two strikeouts to earn the save.
 
No. RV Houston 6, Oregon State 2 (Houston Classic, Houston, Texas)
 
No. RV Houston salvaged the final contest of the Houston Classic against Oregon State, scoring the game’s final six runs to avenge an earlier defeat against the Beavers with a 6-2 Sunday win.
 
Kati Ray Brown reached in all three of her plate appearances, logging a 2-for-2 day with a two-run home run and two runs scored. Sarah Queen and Kelli Montgomery also added two RBI apiece, and Becca Schulte scored twice for the Cougars.
 
Logan Hulon tossed a complete game in the victory, allowing seven hits and four walks while punching out four Oregon State batters.
 
East Carolina 2, George Washington 0 (Pirate Clash, Greenville, North Carolina)
 
East Carolina claimed its third win of the weekend to close the Pirate Clash, shutting out George Washington 2-0 on Sunday at the ECU Softball Stadium.
 
Chandley Garner and Abigail Umphlett each logged RBI for ECU in the win, and Olivia Narron added two hits, a run and a stolen base to the offensive cause. Ashleigh Inae reached safely twice and scored the second ECU run.
 
Logyn Estes spun a three-hit shutout, walking two and logging four strikeouts on 91 pitches in the win.
 
UIC 6, Memphis 5 (Florida Gulf Coast Invitational, Fort Myers, Florida)
 
UIC scored the go-ahead runs on back-to-back walks with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat Memphis 6-5 in the final game for both teams at the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational. The Tigers finished the weekend with a 2-3 mark.
 
Gracie Morton and Delaney Smith each notched three-hit outings in defeat for Memphis, with Morton driving in one and Smith scoring one. Kendall Lee chipped in two hits and a stolen base for the Tigers.
 
Texas State 9, Wichita State 1 (6) (Bobcat Classic, San Marcos, Texas)
 
Wichita State fell for the third straight game, coming up on the wrong end of a 9-1 defeat in six innings at the hands of Texas State on Sunday.
 
Madison Perrigan and Bailey Urban each finished with hits for Wichita State, as Urban drove in Sydney McKinney with an RBI single in the sixth inning.
