No. 22 UCF earned its third ranked win of the season with a 3-2 walk-off win over No. 16 Michigan on Friday at UCLA’s Easton Stadium. The Knights fell to top-ranked UCLA 4-2 in tournament play at the Long Beach State Tournament.
Trailing Michigan 2-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Denali Schappacher tied the game with an RBI infield single to score Kyra Klarkowski. Schappacher ultimately scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch to complete the comeback.
Schappacher finished the night with two hits and two RBI for UCF, and Jazmine Esparza added a pair of base hits. Alea White spun eight innings of three-hit relief, allowing an unearned run with six strikeouts. White became the all-time winningest pitcher in The American with career victory No. 75 against Michigan.

No. RV USF 4, Iowa State 0
No. RV USF claimed a pair of home victories on Friday at the USF Softball Stadium, downing UMass 8-3 and Iowa State 4-0 in tournament play.
AnaMarie Bruni notched two hits, two RBI and a run scored for USF against UMass, and Bethaney Keen chipped in three hits and an RBI. Meghan Sheehan added a pair of hits and runs scored in the win for the Bulls. Brooke Leistl went a perfect 4-for-4 and scored a run against Iowa State.
Georgina Corrick claimed the win against UMass with a scoreless 1.2 innings of relief and three strikeouts. Corrick then tossed a two-hit shutout in the nightcap against Iowa State, striking out eight batters on 93 pitches.

No. RV Tulsa 1, Samford 0 (FIU Classic, Miami, Florida)
No. RV Tulsa earned a sweep in its second day of play at the FIU Classic in Miami, blanking Maryland 4-0 and Samford 1-0 on Friday.
Alexis Perry logged two hits and an RBI for the Golden Hurricane against Maryland, while five different Tulsa players scored runs during the two-game sweep. Samantha Pochop spun seven shutout innings to earn the win against Maryland, allowing seven hits with one walk and six strikeouts. Chenise Delce allowed five hits in the shutout of Samford, walking one with a season-high 10 strikeouts.
UConn 10, Siena 1 (5)
UConn 9, No. RV JMU 5 (JMU Invitational, Harrisonburg, Virginia)
UConn extended its current winning streak to three games with a 10-1 win in five innings over Siena and a 9-5 victory against No. RV JMU on Friday at the JMU Invitational.
Olivia Sappington went 3-for-3 with three RBI in the Siena win, and Carli Cutler drove in three runs of her own. Aziah James reached base three times and scored three runs. Briana Marcelino added two hits, four RBI and two runs against JMU, and Sappington notched two more hits and three RBI.
Meghan O’Neil allowed one run on one hit in four innings against Siena, striking out four batters. Marybeth Olson went the distance against JMU, striking out a season-high 14 batters on 173 pitches.
Memphis 9, Western Carolina 1 (6)
Indiana State 13, Memphis 5 (UofM Softball Tournament, Memphis, Tennessee)
Memphis split two games on the first day of the UofM Softball Tournament, dispatching Western Carolina 9-1 in six innings before falling to Indiana State 13-5.
Samantha Ibison went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored against Western Carolina, and Brady Rowland drove in three runs in the victory. Delaney Smith chipped in three hits in the game for Memphis. Chyanne Ellett allowed one hit and an unearned run in four innings to claim the win against Western Carolina.
Wichita State 9, Kansas City 3
Kansas 9, Wichita State 4 (Rock Chalk Challenge, Lawrence, Kansas)
Wichita State split its first day at the Rock Chalk Challenge on Friday, defeating Kansas City 9-3 before falling in the nightcap to host Kansas 9-4.
Madison Perrigan became The American career home run leader during the twin bill, finishing the night with three home runs and five RBI for Wichita State. Bailey Lange added four hits and three runs for the Shockers.
UC Davis 7, ECU 0
No. 25 Fresno State 8, ECU 5 (Bulldog Classic, Fresno, California)
East Carolina lost in both of its Friday starts at the Fresno State Bulldog Classic, falling to UC Davis 7-0 and No. 25 Fresno State 8-5.
Tate McClellan drove in two runs with two hits against Fresno State, and Chandley Garner scored twice in defeat for the Pirates.
