Tulsa's Poppe Takes Women's Tennis Player of the Week Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending January 25.

Poppe went 4-0 in singles and 3-1 in doubles play to help the Golden Hurricane to a 3-1 start to the dual match season. She scored singles wins in Tulsa’s victories against Louisiana Tech, Central Arkansas and Wyoming and provided the Golden Hurricane’s lone team point with a win at No. 2 singles against Oklahoma. She added doubles victories against Louisiana Tech, Central Arkansas and Wyoming, playing at the No. 2 position.
