The Hornets made their 2021 debut on Lake Natoma on April 10 and the Varsity 8 defeated Saint Mary’s by almost 20 seconds, 6:39.8 to 6:59.5, under perfect conditions and minimal current.

Results Around The American
UCF competed at the Sunshine State Invite on April 2-3 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla. The Knights’ V8 won both of its races by about five seconds over the likes of Clemson, Kansas State, Kansas, Jacksonville, Miami and Stetson. UCF also picked up two wins in the V4, 3V8 and 2V4.
 
Sacramento State swept three races against Saint Mary’s on Lake Natoma on April 10. The V8 won by almost 20 seconds, while the 2V8 and V4 picked up wins by over 30 seconds.
 
Temple won all four of its races against George Mason and La Salle on Schuylkill River on April 10. On April 3, the Owls took part in the Murphy Cup Regatta on the Schuylkill and finished third in the V8 and 2V8 races.
 
Tulsa competed against Kansas State and Central Oklahoma on Verdigris River in Catoosa, Okla., on April 10. The Golden Hurricane took down Kansas State in the 2V8 race and placed second in the V8 and 2V4 contests.
