HOUSTON – Houston Soccer (6-1-1) bounced back on the road against Jackson State with a 1-0 win in double overtime on Sunday.

The Cougars fought hard throughout the match with 27 total shots compared to the Tigers' (1-5-0) three. Freshman Samantha Wiehe shot to the low right side of the goal scoring the game winner in the 101st minute. This was also the first goal of her collegiate career. Houston lasted 100 minutes of play without making a shot in the net, but thanks to Weihe's unassisted score, the Cougars were able to add another win to its season record.

Goalkeeper Mikaela Gracia and defender Emma Clarke both recorded clean sheets playing the total game, including both bouts of extra time. Both Jazmin Grant and Mia Brascia were able to shoot six shots apiece, but unfortunately could not make it in the net.

Rice was unable to find a goal despite outshooting SMU, 16-15, as Tatum Sutherland (5) and Samantha Estrada (3) combined for eight saves.

The Mustangs nearly opened the scoring with 10 minutes left in the first half when Alina Khan's shot hit the crossbar. SMU placed a total of five shots on goal in the match.

Tulsa 2, Oral Roberts 1 - Box Score

Drake 2, Memphis 0 - Box Score
DES MOINES, Iowa – Memphis' offense lit up the box score, but ultimately fell short and faced their first loss of the season as the Bulldogs of Drake University took the 2-0 win this afternoon. Following today's match, the No. 15 Tigers move to 6-1-1 for the season.

The Tigers offense struck from the get-go, challenging Bulldogs goalkeeper, Kelsie Stone, with three combined shots on-goal from Mya Jones, Saorla Miller, and Tanya Boychuk in the opening 10 minutes of play.

Drake's Makenna Shepard was able to sneak a goal by Elizabeth Moberg in the 12' of play and give the Bulldogs the early 1-0 lead.

William & Mary 1, East Carolina 0 - Box Score
WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – An early goal decided a defensive struggle as the East Carolina soccer team fell to William & Mary 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. ECU falls to 4-4-0 while William & Mary improves to 2-4-0.

Neither team could create many clear-cut chances in the opening 45 minutes. The teams combined for nine shots and just three of those on goal. Unfortunately for East Carolina, William & Mary was able to convert one of those chances into the opening score. In the 17th minute, Kayleigh Shackford drove at the ECU penalty area from the halfway line. Just before reaching the box, Shackford let loose a shot with her right foot that flew into the back of the net.

"That allowed them to come out and just defend for the last 45 minutes," Hamilton said. "I don't think we adjusted very well at half time to the things that would allow us to have some success. We even tried players that hadn't had much of an opportunity before to see if they would bring a spark of energy."

Coming out of the locker room trailing, the Pirates pushed forward to try to tie the game. ECU dominated the shot total in the second half, outshooting the Tribe 12-1. Grace Doran and Tori Riggs took back-to-back shots in the 59th minute, but William & Mary goalkeeper Morgan Wood made stops on both.  Wood made another save on Haley McWhirter's shot in the 64th minute.

ECU had another pair of chances starting in the 81st minute, both created by Annabelle Abbott. Abbott's first shot was headed for the bottom corner of the net before Wood made the stop and a minute later, Abbott took another shot, this one also denied by Wood.

Michigan 2, Cincinnati 1 - Box Score
CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati soccer team fell victim to two quick, second-half goals in a hard-fought, 2-1 defeat to No. 16 Michigan on Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats fell to 4-3-1.

The Bearcats had the best start possible in the first half with a Vanessa DiNardo goal in the second minute. Lauren Bastian played a ball into DiNardo who took it in stride and finished spectacularly in the upper right hand corner from outside the box. The Wolverines tightened up defensively after the goal and controlled the rest of the half. Anna Rexford made three saves in the opening period.

The second half was all Wolverines and they goals in the 62nd and 64th minutes to take the lead, both by Raleigh Loughman.
