East Carolina won a wild 13-8 matinee decision at NC Central on Tuesday. The Pirates scored six runs in the top of the first inning and then battled back from an 8-7 deficit in the fourth inning with six unanswered runs to triumph on the road.
Sydney Yoder went 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBI to power the ECU offense. Jocelyn Alonso ripped two hits and scored a game-high three runs and Logyn Estes batted in two runs and scored a pair of runs for the Pirates.
