WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State wrapped up the Shocker Invitational in dramatic fashion Sunday at Wilkins Stadium. The Shockers recorded two wins, both via the walk-off over Northern Colorado (10-1) and South Dakota State (4-3).
 
Wichita State (23-6) needed only 6.0 innings to take care of Northern Colorado but were down to the very last out against South Dakota State.
 
Addison Barnard recorded her 11th career multi-homer game, including home runs No. 60 and 61 of her career in the win over Northern Colorado.
 
In the finale, Wichita State faced a 3-1 deficit entering the bottom of the seventh, but recorded its first win of the season after trailing in the seventh. They had been 0-5 entering the day.
 
East Carolina 9, Presbyterian 8 – Box Score
GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team concluded the final game of the Jolly Roger Invite on a positive note, as the Pirates outlasted Presbyterian 9-8 on Sunday afternoon inside Max R. Joyner Family Stadium.
 
Bailee Wilson and Logan Sutton each homered to propel the Pirates (20-9) to an early seven-run lead before withstanding a furious two-inning rally from the Blue Hose (19-8) to tie last season's win total of 20.
 
After an early Blue Hose run, ECU's offense caught fire as Taudrea Sinnie and Taylor Edwards each scored and drove in runs to give the Pirates a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the second inning. Wilson would drive one to left field to extend the Pirates' lead to 5-1 and Sutton would cap the scoring binge with a two-run shot to put ECU up 8-1 in the bottom of the fifth.
 
Morgan Hess would record a two-run homer herself in the top of the sixth to keep Presbyterian alive and Hess would strike again with a three-run shot to pull the Blue Hose within one run at 9-8. Jordan Hatch would fly out the next batter to thwart the comeback attempt and clinch the win.
 
Addy Bullis (11-3) struck out four batters in five innings while Jenna Greene (8-5) allowed four earned runs for the loss.
 
Texas 6, South Florida 1 – Box Score
TAMPA – The University of South Florida softball team ended the South Florida Showdown with a 6-1 loss to the #11/9 Texas Longhorns on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Bulls went to the bottom of the seventh inning with no hits or runs. Freshman Tieley Vaughn broke up the no-hitter with her first career home run. Alyssa Rano followed with a single.
 
Junior left-handed pitcher, Lexie Kopko earned her first start of the season in the South Florida Showdown tournament finale. She pitched two innings, allowing one run on 11 batters faced.
 
Freshman Morgan Grubb pitched 1.2 innings and struck out one. Grubb also allowed one run. Jaden Martinez pitched 0.2 innings and allowed two runs.
 
Senior Vivian Ponn , who was originally the designated player, came in to pitch in the fifth inning. Kopko re-entered the game after Ponn pitched 0.2 innings.  
 
Baylor 3, Houston 0 – Box Score
WACO, Texas – The University of Houston softball team dropped a 3-0 game the series finale to #21/#20 Baylor on Sunday afternoon at Getterman Stadium.
 
Graduate student Kenna Wilkey (7-7), tossing six strikeouts in her seventh complete game of the season, earned the decision for Houston (12-16). Dariana Orme (10-2) picked up her second win of the weekend for Baylor (22-5), further dropping her ERA this season to 0.79.
 
LA Matthews extended her hitting streak to five games, the longest active streak on the team.
 
Turiya Coleman tallied her 40th hit of the season with a single in the sixth inning.
 
Wilkey tossed her 33rd career complete game and her 14th playing for Houston.
 
Oklahoma State 9, UCF 4 – Box Score
STILLWATER, Okla. - The UCF softball team dropped its final game of the weekend to host and No. 2 Oklahoma State, 9-4 on Sunday afternoon.
 
After the Cowgirls took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, the Knights scoring a run in three straight innings to take a lead, but Oklahoma State answered back in the fourth with three runs to take a one run lead that they would never give up.
 
Jada Cody led the Knights with a 2-for-4 day at the plate and drove in one run. Aubrey Evans, Shannon Doherty and Shelli DiPuma each had one RBI.
 
Grace Jewell (L, 5-4) earned the start for the Knights, tossing 4.0 innings. She gave up five runs on six hits. Angelina DeVoe (0.0 IP) and Katelyn Cochran (2.0 IP) threw in relief.
