IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending January 22.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Drew Morris • Jr. • SMU • Houston, Texas
Morris was a winner in both singles and doubles to lead SMU to a 4-3 win against No. 17 Vanderbilt. She clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles alongside partner Maja Makoric, whle she broke a 3-3 tie and delivered the deciding team point with a 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (7) win at No. 2 singles against the nation's No. 14-ranked singles player. Morris' singles victory was one of three three-set wins against nationally ranked players for the Mustangs.
