East Carolina would rebound from its first loss as the Pirates jumped out to an early 4-0 lead on Longwood in the bottom of the third after Kanisha Anderson scored on a wild pitch and Johnson hit her fourth home run of the weekend.
 
ECU would add on two more runs in the bottom of the fourth on a two RBI single from Emma Jackson to extend its lead to 6-0. The Lancers would get runners in scoring position for the next three innings, but the Pirates would keep Longwood of the scoreboard to close out the Pirate Clash with a win.
 
Addy Bullis (3-0) tossed five strikeouts and only gave up three hits for the win.
