IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending February 5.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Stadfany Nformi • So. • North Texas • Douala, Cameroon
Nformi keyed North Texas’ 2-0 week as she clinched both matches with singles victories and won both of her doubles sets. Playing at No. 2 singles, Stadfany took a 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 win in the Mean Green’s 5-2 victory against New Mexico State, while she followed with another three-set win, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 to secure a 4-3 decision against Houston. She added a 6-3 doubles win against New Mexico State and a 7-6 (8) win against Houston, helping North Texas register its first win against a Big 12 opponent since 2016.
