IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending March 4.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Stanislava Shulzhenko • Fr. • North Texas • Kharkiv, Ukraine
Shulzhenko led North Texas to its first win against a nationally ranked opponent since 2016 as she won in both singles and doubles in the Mean Green's 4-1 victory against No. 70 UTSA. Shulzhenko scored a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles and was a 6-2 winner at No. 1 doubles.
 
Darya Schwartzman • So. • Rice • Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut, Israel
Schwartzman registered wins in singles and doubles to help the Owls score a 4-0 victory at No. 69 UNLV. Schwartzman took a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles, ending her opponent's seven-match winning streak, and was a 6-3 winner at No. 2 doubles to clinch the first team point of the match.
