2024 American Women’s Rowing Championship Set for Sunday

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – The 2024 American Athletic Conference Women’s Rowing Championship is set to be held Sunday, May 12 at Melton Lake in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The action begins at 9 a.m. Eastern and will air on ESPN+. Live results will be available here.
 
Oak Ridge is hosting the championship for a fourth year in a row. The 2024 season is the final season of women’s rowing in The American.
 
SMU is the three-time defending champion of the regatta. Tulsa finished second at the 2024 Championship.
 
The team championship and NCAA automatic qualifier will be determined by the points accrued in the three NCAA events: Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8 and Varsity 4. The teams will also compete in the Second Varsity 4.
 
Tulsa is seeded first in the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8. SMU is seeded first in the Varsity 4, while Sacramento State is the top seed in the Second Varsity 4.
 
The American’s team champion will earn automatic qualification to the 2024 NCAA Rowing Championships, to be held May 31-June 2 at East Fork/Harsha Lake in Bethel, Ohio.
