UAB's Malige Takes Men's Tennis Player Of The Week Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly tennis honors for the week-ending February 3.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Malige went 3-0 in singles play, all at the No. 1 position, and was 2-2 in doubles as UAB split four matches last week. Two of Malige’s singles wins came against nationally ranked opponents as he registered a straight-set victory (6-2, 7-6 (6)) against No. 101 Luka Petrovic of Tulane in a 6-1 win against the Green Wave. He added a three-set decision against No. 75 Aleksi Lofman of LSU with a 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (4) win in a 5-2 loss to the Tigers. Malige added wins in both singles and doubles in the Blazers’ 4-3 win against South Alabama Monday.
