South Florida's Car Goes 3-0 In Singles To Earn Player of the Week Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly tennis honors for the week-ending March 3.

Car went 3-0 in singles play in South Florida’s 2-1 week, which included wins against Pacific (5-2) and Oregon (4-1) and a loss to No. 2 TCU (6-1). He won three-set battle at No. 1 singles against Pacific, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (4), and Oregon, 2-6, 6-1, 6-1, and provided the Bulls’ only team point against TCU with a three-set win against the No. 11-ranked player nationally, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4. Car is ranked No. 80 in Tuesday’s latest ITA rankings and has won his last eight singles matches, all at the No. 1 position.
