Charlotte's Badawi Named Women's Tennis Player Of The Week

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly tennis honors for the week-ending March 31.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Amira Badawi • Gr. • Charlotte
Badawi helped Charlotte to a 4-2 win against Brown and a 4-1 victory against No. 36 Furman with a key singles win and a 2-0 showing in doubles last week. She scored a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles against Brown and added a 6-3 doubles victory to help the 49ers to a 4-0 record against Ivy League opponents this spring. She added a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles in the win against Furman, which helped Charlotte move up to No. 40 in the ITA team rankings.
