Torres went 3-0 on the week, scoring a doubles win and two singles victories as UTSA split a pair of dual matches. He was a three-set winner at the No. 1 position with a 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 decision in a 4-2 loss to Charlotte. He then delivered the clinching doubles point and a straight-set singles win in the Roadrunners’ 4-3 win against No. 69 Rice. Torres took a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles and was a 6-4 winner at No. 2 doubles against the Owls.
