IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball awards for the week ending Sunday, March 22.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Maura Moore, Gr., Tulsa
Moore was the ace in the circle for the Golden Hurricane, helping Tulsa hand South Florida their first two losses in conference play. Moore tossed 12.0 innings and finished with a 0.58 ERA across two wins against the Bulls.
 
Player of the Week
Ausha Moore, So., INF/DP, Wichita State
Moore had a monster week at the plate for the Shockers, hitting four home runs across four wins.  She slashed .500/.579/1.250 and drove in eight runs.
 
Honorable Mention
Taylor Jones, So., RHP, Charlotte
Jones tossed 13.0 innings in the circle, finishing with a 0.00 ERA and a pair of wins for the 49ers.
 
Jenna Lord, R-Sr., 3B, Charlotte
Lord slashed .545/.545/1.182 and hit the game-winning home run in game one of the series sweep of UAB.
 
Trinity Nichols, R-Jr., INF, East Carolina
Nichols recorded a hit in every game and drove in seven runs to help the Pirates to a series victory over Memphis.
 
Madison Conley, Jr., UTL, North Texas
Conley extended her hitting streak to 18 games, recording two hits in all three games against UTSA.
 
Daeya Moses, R-Jr., INF/DP, Tulsa
Moses had a hit and scored a run in every game to help lead the Golden Hurricane to a series win over South Florida.
