Highlights
- Tulane had an early start to the outdoor track and field season, hosting the Early Bird Twilight Invitational the weekend before indoor track and field season ends. The Green Wave picked up 13 individual titles in the meet and won the team women’s competition.
In women’s track Jessica Duckett won the 300m (39.65), Jessica Adamson won the 600m (1:33.60), Sarah Cella took home gold in the 1,500m (4:37.61), Emma Newton finished first in the 3,000m (10:07.71) and Dominique Hever had the top time in the 400m Hurdles (1:05.98).
The women’s field team won four events with Jacqueline Esmay winning the hammer throw (57.51m), Daliadiz Ortiz winning the javelin (51.87m), Taylor Potts taking gold in the shot put (15.36m) and Alyssa Applebee won the pole vault, clearing 4.22m.
On the men’s side, Raymond Kibet won the 600m (1:18.57), Emmanuel Rotich won the 3,000m (8:21.03), Anthony Taylor won gold in the discus (48.87m) and Caleb Bertrand won the pole vault with a clearance of 4.72m.
