ECU 2, Davidson 1
After trailing at halftime, the ECU women's soccer team used a pair of second-half goals to defeat Davidson 2-1 on Sunday afternoon in Johnson Stadium.

In the second half, ECU upped the offensive pressure as they tried to get back into the game. Kim Sanford, normally a center back, was moved into a forward role early in the second half and it paid dividends when the sophomore pounced on a loose ball in the Davidson box and lashed a one-time shot into the back of the net to tie the game. Seven minutes later, Sanford helped ECU take the lead. Off a Davidson goal kick, Sanford won a header and directed it back towards the Wildcat goal where Jenna Dages broke in behind the Davidson defense for a breakaway and eventual game-winning goal.

Katina Tsapos had the assist on the score.

The Mustangs made it 2-0 in the 20th minute when newcomer Celiana Torres collected a loose ball in the box and buried her first collegiate goal. The two quick scores came against a TCU defense that hadn't allowed a single goal in any of its first three games. The Horned Frogs were able to fight back to force extra time but SMU held true in OT for the point.
