PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference went 2-2 on Thursday night as No. 24/24 USF rolled past Detroit Mercy, 4-0, and Memphis earned an extra time win thanks to a golden goal from Jessica Lisi in the 98
th minute.

UConn 0, RV/RV Rutgers 3
The Scarlet Knight showed why they are receiving votes in both national top-25 polls on as Rutgers tallied three scores against UConn in Storrs on Thursday night.
Rutgers scored twice in the first 12 minutes of action and registered all three of its goals in the first half. The Scarlet Knights outshot the Huskies, 11-9, including a 7-2 edge in shots on goal. Redshirt sophomore goalie Randi Palacios pitched a shutout in the second half, recording four saves on the night – including a great diving stop in the 75th minute.
UConn returns to action on Sunday when it travels to play at Boston University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
No. 24/24 USF 4, Detroit Mercy 0
USF earned its first shutout win of the season on Thursday night when it defeated Detroit Mercy, 4-0, at Corbett Stadium.
Junior forward Evelyne Viens had one assist, two goals and five shots. The American Player of the Week came out kicking when she dribbled down the left wing and delivered a pass to Aubrey Megrath in the second minute. Megrath shot from the middle of the penalty box netting USF's first goal of the evening.
The Bulls will have more than a week off before traveling to Annapolis, Md., for a pair of matches at Navy. USF will face Navy on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. and Delaware on Sept. 9 at noon.
Cincinnati 1, RV/25 2 Notre Dame
Sydney Kilgore netted her second goal of the season to stake Cincinnati to a 1-0 lead in the 58', but host rv/25 Notre Dame stormed back for two goals of their own to claim a 2-1 win over the visiting Bearcats Thursday night at Alumni Stadium in South Bend, Ind.
The loss snapped the Bearcats' two-match winning streak and sent them to a 3-2-0 record on the year while the Irish rebounded from their first loss of the campaign to improve to 4-1-0 overall.
A pair of nationally ranked foes are on the slate for the Bearcats next week with one at home and on the road. First, UC will play host to No. 19 Kansas at 7 p.m. Then, on Sunday, the Bearcats will battle No. 117 Auburn on the road with a 1 p.m. start in Auburn, Ala.
Memphis 1, Richmond 0 (OT)
A Jessica Lisi goal in the 98thminute of action pushed Memphis to a 1-0 victory against UAB on Thursday night at BBVA Compass Field.
With two minutes left in the first overtime, Memphis, who outshot the Blazers 24-2 throughout the evening, found one final offensive push when senior Catherine Levasseur kept a UAB clear attempt in the attacking zone. Lisi collected the deflection at the top of the box and rocketed the ball in the lower left corner of the net for the golden goal.
Memphis returns to the pitch Monday against Samford in Birmingham, Ala. Kickoff against the Bulldogs is set for 7 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN+.
