PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Championship bracket will be finalized this weekend as all 10 American Athletic Conference teams close regular season action Thursday and Friday.
UCF
7/6 will close out the regular season against USF
RV/RV on Oct. 27. The Knights welcome the Bulls to the UCF Soccer Complex to play for The American regular season title and No. 1 Championship seed. Senior midfielder Kayla Adamek was named to TopDrawerSoccer’s Team of the Week list after contributing two goals in UCF’s 4-1 home win against Temple.
Cincinnati
-/24 will host ECU at Gettler Stadium for its regular season finale Friday night. Cincinnati has already clinched a berth into the American Athletic Conference Tournament with only the sixth and final position up for grabs heading into the final week of the season.
UConn will face Temple for its Senior Night Friday at 7 p.m. ET. The Huskies will honor its five seniors prior to the contest. UConn has secured a spot in conference standings, qualifying for The American Tournament.
ECU will conclude the regular season Friday with its final American Athletic Conference match of the year at Cincinnati
-/24. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET.
Houston will take its two-match win streak to Dallas and take on SMU in its regular-season finale Thursday night. The match has conference tournament implications, with the winner clinching the sixth and final spot in the American Women’s Soccer Championship.
Memphis will travel to Oklahoma and face Tulsa Friday night at 8 p.m. ET. The match will air on The American Digital Network. The Tigers have secured a spot in The American Championship and are currently tied for third-place in league standings with 14 points.
USF
RV/RV has won six-straight games since its only conference loss opening week vs. Cincinnati. The Bulls will compete for the regular season conference title Friday against UCF
7/6, the winner will also host The American Championship Nov. 1-5.
After a three-match win streak, SMU will have an opportunity to earn a spot in the American Athletic Conference Championship Thursday night when the team hosts Houston at Westcott Field in a winner-take-all showdown. With a win or draw, the Mustangs will clinch the final tournament seed.
Temple will travel to Connecticut and face the Huskies Friday for its last regular season match with a 7 p.m. ET start time.
Tulsa will conclude American Athletic Conference play on Friday, Oct. 27 against Memphis. The game can be watched live on The American Digital Network, with a start time slated at 8 p.m. ET.
