Entering the 2019 American softball season we're taking a look at each team around the league. The ECU Pirates, who return 12 position players and two pitchers and added six newcomers, begin the season with a doubleheader on February 8.

-ECU returns its top four hitters, including Tate MCClellan, who tied for third in the American in doubles (12) & home runs (10) last season.

-Transfer Rachel McCollum ranked in the Top 30 nationally in five offensive categories last year at Campbell University.

-In the circle, Erin Poepping was named to the 2018 All-Rookie team after leading ECU in era (3.26), wins (13), complete games (9) and strikeouts (95).
